Attention Women of Our Savior's!

On May 6th the women of the church will again celebrate Pie Day with the residents of Luther Haven. There will be a short program at 2:30 p.m. followed by pie and coffee. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Come join us for fellowship with our friends and loved ones at Luther Haven.

Sr. Lites

Sr. Lites will meet on Monday, May 12th, at 5:30 p.m. in Bethany Hall for the last potluck dinner of the season. The program will be on Christine Andreas' trip to Norway.

Invite a friend along to join us for a delicious potluck dinner, good fellowship and a familiar trip to one of our favorite countries.

Global Mission

LQP Global Mission will be held on Friday, May 16 at the Baxter Lutheran Church, Montevideo. The program will be presented by retired Bishop Charles Anderson who will speak on his world travels. The morning starts with coffee at 9:30 a.m. followed by the meeting at 10:0-0 a.m. and adjourning with noon lunch. Offerings given go to support mission work.

Our Savior’s will once again have a team for the Relay for Life. The Relay will take place Friday, May 16, 2008. The Relay for Life is a way to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The money is used for research, education and day-to-day help and emotional support fro people affected by cancer.

If you would like to be a member of the team, please contact Judy Dahl at 269-7652. It is a wonderful way to support a great cause and get some exercise.

It’s that time of year again … Vacation Bible School is approaching us fast. We have scheduled our Vacation Bible School “Power Lab” for June 1 – 5 from 5:15 – 7:30 pm. Registration forms will be sent home during Sunday School. Watch for the neon reminder stickers that will remind you to register your child for Vacation Bible School. Get Ready to discover Jesus miraculous power! Get Ready to follow Jesus as he heals, helps and gives power to people who need him.

All these items will be used in our science lab or games during vacation bible school: clinic/hospital lab coats, markers, glue, masking tape, scotch tape, cardboard boxes (stove or refrigerator boxes), red dot stickers, yellow caution tape, newspaper or butcher paper, push pins, fine tip markers, Four 8-foot long lengths of ribbon, 4 containers of oatmeal, 4 plastic bowls, unscented baby wipes, 125 stretchy cloth headbands (need one per child and leader), large blue tarp, 4 shallow plastic containers (Rubbermaid storage containers for under the bed, 4 beach towels, 4 wooden spoons, brown poster board, imitation vanilla extract, 2 packages of washcloths, red and orange crepe paper streamers, hoola hoops, 6 child size wading pool, 15 bottles of dawn dish soap, 15 bottles of corn syrup, 15 cinder blocks, balloons, paper plates, 5 containers of pepper, 15 splash balls, 10 buckets, 15 pool noodles, water spray bottles, 15 packages of Mento mint candies, 15 liters of diet coke or Pepsi, 5 packages of ping pong balls, 15 rolls of toilet paper, 5 bottles of Windex, red ink pads, lemon juice and 5 packages of the 24 pack bottled water.

We are also looking for props to decorate for this event and we are in need of the following… science beakers or test tubes, snorkel gear, 2 bowling balls (8lbs or less)
