Call a friend or two and bring them along on Monday, March 8th at 12:00 noon in Bethany Hall for Sr. Lites. This monthly event is open to all members and friends 55 and older. You will enjoy a wonderful potluck dinner and program presented by Jim Flaherty of Luther Haven Nursing Home. Please join us for this time of fellowship.
Soup Challenge:
Once again, we will join with area churches to raise funds for the area food shelf. The need for help with food has increased in our area.
During Lent, canned goods can be left in the narthex. Gifts of money can be made out to Our Savior’s Soup Challenge. Every dollar you give provides 9 cans of soup to our food shelf. The challenge continues through Lent. Please give as you are blessed!
Lenten Suppers
We will again serve soup for our Lenten Suppers. Supper will begin each week at 5:30 and will be served until 6:30 pm. Each board is invited to add a sandwich and dessert of their choice to the Lenten Supper. Please help out if you are asked to donate to this great cause. We are asking for a gift of $5.00 per person for the meal. Proceeds will go to Our Savior’s kids attending the Green Lake Summer Bible Camp.

Spring Bake Sale
The Women of the ELCA will be sponsoring a bake sale on Saturday, March 27, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Bethany Hall.
We are looking for our members to bake and bring cookies, bars, breads, muffins, pies, doughnuts, or other baked goods. Monetary donations will be accepted in lieu of baked goods.

Bring your baked items to Bethany Hall on Friday, March 26th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. or Saturday morning before 8:30 a.m.
Come ready to purchase homemade baked goods for your Easter company and stay for and coffee, rolls fellowship .
Easter Flowers
If you would like to donate flowers for Easter, in memory of or in honor of a loved one, please have your information to the church office no later than Friday, March 26th. Flowers should be delivered to the church by Thursday, April 1st. We will be decorating the Sanctuary on Saturday morning, April 3rd.
Easter Prayer Vigil
The Ministry Board is asking members to sign up for a prayer vigil to be held on Good Friday in the Chapel. We ask that you sign up on the sheet that will be in the Narthex. If you have prayer requests, you can fill out the forms located in the bulletin during this time and place them in the offering plates. The prayer vigil will be held on Good Friday, April 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Pictorial Directory
Many of you have asked if the Pictorial Directories have arrived yet. We received a first draft weeks back and there were so many errors in it that we needed to return it with the corrections noted. We have just recently received the corrected, second draft and it has been reviewed and sent back. It will hopefully go to press soon. Our best guess is that we may have it by Easter.
Relay for Life
Our Savior’s will once again have a team for the Relay for Life. The relay is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 starting at 6:00 pm and ending on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 6:00 am. It is the goal of each team to have someone walking the entire time. No one is expected to walk continually for twelve hours. So, you may come out and walk the first round, the last round or anywhere in between. Our Savior’s made over $1500 for the Relay last year. This year we would like to try for $2000. If you have any ideas for a fundraiser let me know. Here are a few important dates to remember:
April 5th—Relay registration is due so you must let me know if you want to walk. We must complete a registration form.
April 12th—If you want a t-shirt you have to let me know so it can be ordered. There will not be any extra available.
May 14th—Relay from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on May 15th. The Relay will be held at Smith Park.

American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Fundraiser.
Daffodils will be sold between services on March 14, 2010. A bouquet consists of 10 fresh-cut daffodils. Daffodil Bunch donation price is $10.00. Plan to buy some spring sunshine and support a great cause.
