Sunday School
Every Sunday, September through May, the children are greeted as they enter the classrooms by our warm and friendly team of Sunday School teachers. You can hear the energetic sounds of worship as children learn to praise God through song and bible lessons. Our Sunday School is an interactive, creative time so the children will be able to apply the lessons to their lives. Your children will sense the love of God coming from our dedicated staff who are committed to serving Jesus. If your child comes to Sunday School not only will they learn about Jesus but we know from experience they will have fun!
Our Savior's Lutheran Church uses the rotational model for Sunday school instead of the traditional model. Through the rotational model we are able to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly workshops. Our Savior's has the following workshops that the kids rotate through: The Art Workshop, Drama, Stewardship, Games, A-V, Cooking, Storytelling, Computers, and any other educational media we can get our hands on. We use the same Bible story in all of the workshops for six weeks, rotating the kids to a different workshop each week. This is an extremely teacher friendly program because the teachers are able to stay in each workshop for four to six weeks, teaching the same lesson week after week, with some age appropriate adjustments to each new class coming in. The biggest benefit from this program is that the kids are excited to come to Sunday school because they learn the story many different ways.
The children will also meet in small groups every Sunday to help them learn how to practice their faith at school...at home...in friendships. Relationships formed in small groups make Sunday school a warm, welcoming place week after week.

Bible Buddies
Each year we give Bibles to preschool and third grade students. Bible Buddies give money to purchase a Bible for these children. Friends, parents, grandparents, or any others can donate money for the purchase of these Bibles. Call the church office at 269-8824, if you would like to be a Bible Buddy, and start a young child off on a path of spiritual awareness.
Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars now for June 6-10, from 5:15-7:45 pm to set sail with us on a "High Seas" Vacation Bible School adventure for preschool - grade 6. Come and experience the deep, rolling waters of God's love.
Green Lake Bible Camp
Located on beautiful Green Lake in Spicer, Minnesota, the camp holds a special place in the hearts of many of the youth of OSLC. The Bible camp offers camp experience for children grades 3-12.
Scholarships are available to families or individuals to offset part of the cost of camp. Please stop in at the church office for a scholarship form.
